Sequoia’s Academic Intervention program will be resuming in the Fall! The Samurai Study Club was designed to give Sequoia students an opportunity to get extra assistance in academic classes, and to build extra time in their day to complete assignments and projects.
The study sessions will focus on grade improvement, content understanding, and the completion of all missing assignments. Each session will be directed by one of our certificated staff members, and will encompass all content areas. Students will have the opportunity to receive one-on-one instructional time, and to develop various study skills. Your student will also have the opportunity to earn free homework passes and percentage bonuses on tests in their Math and English classes!
Intervention will be held in room #8 Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:10pm-3:40pm; and on Wednesdays and Fridays from 7:25am-7:55am.
If your student is currently receiving transportation through the William S. Hart UHSD, you will need to arrange for your student to be dropped off and/or picked up on intervention days that they attend, and please inform the front office so that the district Transportation Department may be notified.
These study sessions have been carefully designed and implemented in order to meet the individual academic needs of each of our students. The program is an important part of our program, because academic success is an important factor in ensuring that our students will have the skills necessary to become successful, contributing members of the community after graduation.
We appreciate your ongoing support for this program. Please feel free to contact Ms. Ortiz or Mr. Simpson at any point in time to discuss questions you have about the Samurai Study Club.
